The NCA’s CEOP Command (formerly the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre) works with child protection partners across the UK and overseas to identify the main threats to children and coordinates activity against these threats to bring offenders to account. We protect children from harm online and offline, directly through NCA led operations and in partnership with local and international agencies.

Vodafone have produced a Digital Parenting Magazine which informs parents about the various technologies children are accessing today. There is information on Facebook settings, Xbox360 settings, Blackberry controls, jargon busting and many more ‘How to Guides’. Well worth a read – Check it out in the Parent Information Links section below!

Intel Online Safety Day
26th Jan 2016

On Tuesday 26th January, our 5 e-safety cadets and Mrs Daly (our e-safety coordinator) went to Intel for the morning to learn about online safety. The children were a credit to Tregoze and they thoroughly enjoyed the day!

Their first task was to label 38 items and symbols of technology, ranging from a tape cassette to a USB stick. They really enjoyed this but didn't recognise some of the items that many of the teachers grew up with!

Next, they had to use information readily available on a typical facebook page to work out the combination to a briefcase which contained sweets. One of the children was very fast to work this out and they all were rewarded with sweets.

After this they had to crack a code and finally they played a board game with lots of information and advice.

The children learnt a lot of information from the day and will be feeding back what they have learnt to the rest of the School.

Our ideas about Online Safety

Our school is committed to ensuring the online safety and well being of our school community. We aim to support everyone at our school, so that they are able to enjoy all the benefits of the digital world, in a safe and secure way.

Here are the rules that your child will learn at school in order to say safe.

One great way to help is to ask your child if they know these rules!”
