On Friday, children and school staff up and down the country took part in a range of fun activities to raise money for Children in Need. The charity works to ensure that every child in the UK has a safe, happy, and secure childhood. Donations fund their work and provide grants to organisations for projects that help disadvantaged children and young people all over the country.
This year to raise money, we had a non uniform day with pupils wearing yellow, spotty, or Pudsey clothes!
Since hitting the BBC airwaves in 1980, Children in Need has raised over £950 million to help disadvantaged young people in the UK, and schools play a huge part in helping to raise money and make this event a success.
At Tregoze, we view Children in Need as a great platform to teach our students how to be charitable and kind, and about the importance of helping others. Learning the significance of these values will help to develop lasting habits that will continue into adult life.
We are delighted to join schools across the White Horse Federation in making a real difference to children's lives.
