Erasmus+ Update: Giving Our Pupils Experiences They’ll Never Forget

At Tregoze Primary School, we are incredibly excited to be taking part in our fourth international Erasmus+ project.

The two-year programme, entitled “Mistakes are the Best Teachers”, sees Tregoze linking up with four primary schools from France, Germany, Italy, and Greece.

The exciting project, which we launched on 26th September 2019 to coincide with European Day of Languages, gives our pupils the opportunity to meet and get to know school children of their own age from across Europe. To have been awarded participation in the project is a real honor that we are very privileged to have received.

Over the two years of the programme, a number of our pupils will get to visit our partner schools. They will stay with host families, experience school life abroad, and take part in cultural trips.

The chance to learn first-hand about the lifestyle, culture, and language of a foreign country is something we are extremely proud to be able to offer our pupils. We also can’t wait to host all the children who will be visiting from our partner schools. We’ll make sure they have an amazing time and that they feel truly welcome in our school and community.

As the project continues, the four schools involved will be working together on the shared theme of the project: “Mistakes are the Best Teachers”. The project is about coping with the mistakes we make and learning to use them to discover more about who we are. We believe it’s important to teach our pupils that they don’t need to be afraid of failure, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration with our partner schools on the theme.

Between 14th to 20th March, a delegation from our partner schools will be visiting Tregoze Primary School. It will be an event-filled week, and the whole school community can’t wait to give our visitors a very warm welcome.

We would like to thank Frances Collins and Sue Adkin, who have been organising and managing our involvement in the project. Without their hard work, we wouldn’t be able to offer this amazing opportunity to our pupils.

Finally, to all of those visiting as part of the delegation in March: everyone at Tregoze is looking forward to making sure you all have a wonderful time during your stay. We’re all so excited to meet you!
