Welcome back to Term 5, I hope that you managed to enjoy the lovely weather that we had over the Easter Break. We have kick-started this term with our values day on ‘Co-operation’. The children will be learning what this means in the concept of them as individuals but also as part of the larger community of Tregoze. This term is really quite short and I know that the teachers have organised lots of exciting learning opportunities for your children.
This morning we received our list for our new intake for Reception. The year is flying by and it has been lovely to see how independent our current Reception children are at coming into school in the morning and taking responsibility for their things. Our new Reception outdoor area was erected over the Easter Holidays and I know that Mrs Ambrose and her team are excited about making the most of the learning opportunities within it. Thank you to those parents who have donated old saucepans etc.
Key Stage 1 are now up and running with Class Dojo and hopefully it will have a positive impact on behaviour and communication like it has for the rest of the school. We look forward to reviewing this at the end of the term.
Can we please have a real push on labelling school uniform? The lost property pile just grows and grows outside of the office and half of it cannot be reclaimed due to lack of labelling. Also can I remind you that your children need to bring a water bottle into school with them which can be refilled in class during the day. This is especially important as we start to enjoy some warmer weather.
Please remember that my door is always open and here’s to a great term.
