Each year, Fortius PE host an exhilarating dance festival at the Wyvern Theatre, bringing together Swindon and Wiltshire primary schools for an unforgettable experience. This event gave our students at Tregoze Primary School the unique opportunity to perform on a professional stage, embracing the magic of theatre in an inspiring environment.

Creative Freedom

While Fortius PE provided an optional theme, schools had complete freedom to interpret it. From selecting music to designing choreography, each school crafted a unique performance. Some schools incorporated dance into PE sessions, others developed routines in dance clubs, and some collaborated with professional dance coaches.

A Memorable Experience

The festival featured two performances, each showcasing around 12 schools. The audience enjoyed a diverse range of dance and music styles, with students cheering each other on. The enthusiasm didn’t end with the festival. Students were eager to perform again, and they were given the opportunity to showcase their routines in a special assembly back at school.

Principal Mrs Helen Tudor, commented; "For many of our students this was the first time they experienced the theatre - It's the most fantastic opportunity for our children preparing backstage, waiting in the wings, and performing under bright lights they really embrace the spirit of the performance and have so much fun . While there were nerves, excitement soon took over, making it an incredibly rewarding event. We are so proud of all the students and staff who participated and made this an absolute success."

The Fortius PE Dance Festival was more than just a performance - celebrating creativity, confidence, and community, leaving students with lasting memories and supporting our aim to inspire, motivate, and challenge our children to achieve their full potential to become confident and self-reliant individuals.
