Our House Captains have had their first exciting opportunity to step into their leadership roles — and they rose to the challenge brilliantly. Their first task was to help lead and support a fantastic whole-school house competition, where they demonstrated maturity, teamwork and enthusiasm throughout.
Working closely with our sports coach, Mrs Reeve, the House Captains played a key role in organising the events, supporting the smooth running of the house matches and encouraging their teams to do their very best. They showed excellent leadership by motivating pupils, offering reassurance and ensuring that everyone felt included and confident to take part.
Children from Year 1 through to Year 6 participated in a wide range of sporting activities, creating a real sense of excitement and friendly competition across the school. The House Captains were also responsible for observing and commenting on the events, praising not only sporting skills but also the outstanding sportsmanship on display. They highlighted moments of teamwork, perseverance and respect shown by pupils in all year groups.
We are incredibly proud of how our House Captains embraced their responsibilities and set such a positive example for others to follow. This event was a wonderful demonstration of leadership in action and a great start to the year for our newly appointed captains. Well done to everyone involved — a fantastic team effort!
